I live in Michigan. I planted several Luscious Marmalade lantanas this spring. I basically like them, but have to say that the website description was not accurate. My plants have a very spreading, horizontal growth habit, more like a ground cover than a bush. By the end of the summer my plants are twelve to eighteen inches tall, and four to five feet across! They have lots of pretty orange flowers, but have totally outgrown the area allotted to them. If you need to cover some ground these would be great, but I don't have the real estate for such broad plants.

Maintenance Notes:If you are looking for a tough plant it's hard to beat lantana. Lantana camara are heat tolerant, they use little to no supplemental water in the landscape, making them an excellent landscape lantana, will tolerate less than ideal soils and usually don't need to be deadheaded. If you are looking for a plant that will thrive on neglect, this orange lantana is the champ. Lantana comes in many shapes, sizes and habits. Check size and habit information for the specific variety you are choosing to make sure it fits your needs. Lantana can be trimmed back at any time to shape or to promote increased branching as a dependable lantana border plant.
In many parts of the US and Canada, Luscious Marmalade lantana functions as an annual. In reality they are a tender perennial, in warm winter climates they become flowering shrubs commonly used as landscape lantana
If you live in an area where this radiantly orange Lantana is perennial, they are essentially trouble free, they can be pruned at any time of year and usually benefit with a harder shape-up pruning in early spring after the last frost date, maintaining their form as a lantana border plant. Midsummer fertilization can help overcome any slow down in growth during the dog days of summer and help bring even more flowers.
According to the Humane Society of America Lantana camara leaves can be toxic to pets. This means that the plants are generally identified as having the capability for producing a toxic reaction.Unlike most lantana, Luscious Marmalade lantana has been certified sterile by the University of Florida. No seed means it won't go out of flower in the heat of summer as a lantana border plant.
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible landscape lantana performance.Luscious® Marmalade Lantana camara 'G12166' USPP 27,378, Can 5,390 -

Bought 3 of these plants, one in April the other 2 in May. The April plant is already closing in on 12 inches in height and is mounding very well. The other 2 are catching up at about 6 inches in height. This is the truest orange color I have ever seen on an annual. As the flowers age they go from a bright orange to a deeper color but remain orange throughout. I am pleasantly surprised by the sheer numbers of flowers and clusters or orange all over. These guys are tough as nails too. While I regularly water and fertilize, they remain stout while callies and alyssum wilt a bit should I miss a watering night. Also they are virtually maintenance free, as the spent flowers fall off automatically. This certainly is one of my most favorite plants and will seek them out until PW no longer offers.
