This Coleus is beautiful! Leaves are and stay smaller as the plant grows, compared to most Coleus leaves. Each leaf has wavy edges, with a pink center surrounded by burgundy. Takes a looooong time to bolt/ make flowers in extreme heat, and even then, plucking them off works amazingly well. It takes a few weeks to make more flowers. I was honestly unimpressed with this coleus at first when planted. It seemed to take a longer than usual time to grow. The leaves were bleaching out their color from the sun. But when it started, it TOOK OFF, filled out, and grew into a small bush sized plant. The leaves no longer bleach out their color. Stems are very thick and sturdy. It yas just about filled out a 26" pot - that's ONE plant. I have it planted with other Proven Winner's Petunias, and the combination is stunning. There is no competition for space between all the plants. They've all adapted well and worked together in one pot.

Maintenance Notes:Many people feel that coleus look best before they flower. We have worked hard to choose coleus that bloom late in the season or not at all. To keep foliage in top shape, pinch off the blooms as they appear if you wish.
Rules of Thumb for Overwintering Plants Indoors:
1. Choose only healthy plants
2. Bring Plants indoors before frost damages foliage
3. Treat for disease and insects before bringing plants indoors
4. Place in bright areas and add humidity using pebble trays or spray bottles
5. Be careful not to over water
6 When active growth starts in spring fertilize and prune as needed
7. Introduce your plants slowly to outdoor conditions in spring
An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
There is drama written all over this gorgeous dark foliage beauty, its broad burgundy leaves with hot pink centers forming a densely branched, upright pillar perfect for thrilling combination containers and landscapes. Like all ColorBlaze® Coleus, it is bred to take the heat without losing its color and it blooms very late in the season, if at all, extending its garden performance into the fall. Try this alternative to impatiens for shade, as it is resistant to downy mildew.

Beautiful! This is just a stunning coleus. Colors are vibrant, grows very well and is healthy. I did it as part of a combination planter but next year will just do a large container of them separately. This is a plant that can easily stand on it's own.
