    Features

Prolific, vibrant blossoms are produced on well-branched, mildew resistant plants all season due to daylength neutrality. As their consistently superior performance has been well-documented, Solenia is a great plant for your garden. The double flower have attractive ruffling to the petals and deadheading isn't necessary for continued bloom. They are sun and shade tolerant.

    Uses Notes:

Try mixing these sun tolerant begonias with other medium vigor plants in hanging baskets, upright containers and in well-drained landscape soil.

    Maintenance Notes:

These begonias prefer moist but not wet, well-draining soil. These are not hardy, but the corms can be dug up, stored for the winter and replanted the next spring. Plants will perform best with limited overhead watering, early enough in the day to dry completely before nightfall. Unnecessarily wet foliage at night can promote disease issues. Otherwise, the plants are largely carefree.  A controlled or slow-release plant food at planting will help them have peak performance.

    • I grew this plant for the first time this year and I have just loved it all summer. A gorgeous pop of tropical color and disease-free. Love the dark foliage too. I'm already planning to order more for next year.
