Second year I have grown this plant an it's the one I look for every morning in Spring. Doesn't like super wet feet (pot it up if you have that Texas clay) and will eventually fizzle out as our summers stretch into upper 90s but it is so cute and worth it in the interim. As a hydrangea lover (shrubs so difficult to have here and impossible in my full sun landscape) I long for any blue I can get in the garden. One can only drive past so many shopping centers and neighboring yards with the exact same red knockout rose and bright yellow lantana combo. No doubt that holds up well but what about plants that feed the imagination??? Plant this one instead. It's calming, sweet, and a reasuring morning companion.

I’m usually more of a perennial gardener but I fell in love with these this year. I planted them in May and now at mid-October they are still vibrant and beautiful. The asters have come and gone but these blue beauties are still shining. These will be a mainstay in my garden each year now as long as I can buy them.
