'Pink Diamonds' Fern-leaved Bleeding Heart Dicentra hybrid

I purchased two of these two years ago and they come back every spring.. I have been pleased with both of them, however, one is thriving beautifully and the other is not. It is in the same location it’s been in since I brought it home and put it in a good sized planter by itself. Both planters receive sun from the east. The one that’s not thriving may get more rain as it’s not as sheltered as the other. The leaves are lighter green and some are becoming yellow and the plant is not flowering as much. We have had more rain than usual this spring. I don’t know if I should cut it back completely and I have fertilized it. I don’t want to lose it. I hope you can help me save it. I am in zone 7 in western NC.

I’m surprised at how much I like these! I bought two last spring and the one bloomed a few times through the summer. Now they’re both coming in string with buds appearing (early May). I put them amongst some existing vinca where they receive only a little morning sun. I’d like to get more to weave into this area!

I bought this plant at the end spring, it had one stem with several leaves and a few blooms. After a few weeks all the flowers died as they would, and then the plant looked like it might not do anything. I took care of the soil and fed it and it has come back to a bush like plant and is full of beautiful green foliage. It looks like it's getting ready to bloom 10x more than what I had originally bought. Keep it in morning sun for a few hours (not above 75) and then shade for a few hours and then the evening sun comes around 5:30 - 6:00pm (PDT). I'm in zone 9/10. First time buying and hope to keep it going year after year.
