    Features

If you love the spellbinding beauty of variegated philodendrons, like Prismacolor White Wizard or Prismacolor Pink Princess, then you are sure to love ‘Splash Dash.’ This hybrid philodendron is a selection of the highly-coveted White Princess. It has spade-shaped leaves adorned with splashes and dashes of creamy variegation. As its lineage includes red-leafed philodendrons, you can expect to see some red & pink undertones on the leaves and stems of your ‘Splash Dash.’ Variegation will range from pearlescent white to princess pink. For the most resplendent display of variegation, be sure to position your ‘Splash Dash’ in an area that gets bright, indirect sunlight. ‘Splash Dash’ is a climber; if given structure, like a moss pole, and ideal conditions, your ‘Splash Dash’ may send out aerial roots and climb to new heights.

    Maintenance Notes:
    • For optimal performance, keep your Philodendron at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
    • Philodendrons perform best in bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Too much direct sunlight, especially in the middle of the day, can scorch the leaves. A little morning or evening sun, however, may help your Philodendron to flourish, especially in the short, dim days of winter. Philodendrons will tolerate lower light conditions, but they will not show their coloration/variegation as intensely in low light, or grow as quickly.
    • Philodendrons appreciate higher humidity, but are generally adaptable to ambient household humidity. In general, if your philodendron has thicker, waxier leaves, it will be able to tolerate less humidity; if your philodendron has thin, fine leaves, it will perform better if given a higher humidity situation. You can help maintain humidity above 50% by using a humidifier or keeping your Philodendron on a pebble tray.
    • Philodendrons prefer to be watered when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage and do not allow your Philodendron to sit in water for extended periods of time, after it has received a good soaking.
    • Feed your Philodendron once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
    • Protect furniture when watering & fertilizing.
    • When repotting your Philodendron, use an all-purpose potting mix, with additional orchid bark and perlite added, to ensure your Philodendron has good drainage and plenty of nutrients.
    • This is a CLIMBING PHILODENDRON. It is capable of producing aerial roots that can cling to structures.  As such, this Philodendron will benefit from having a moss pole, trellis, stakes, or other structures to climb.
