Professional Growing Information I bought this hydrangea a total of 3 times and planted in three different flowerbeds at our zone 7A home. It died every time. Twice throughout a mild winter, and once in the middle of summer. I am very watchful with water, and this was not planted in afternoon sun. Very disappointing.

Deep blue blooms all over my plant, which I purchased at the Cape Cod hydrangea festival in 2023. Very pleased with the performance of this plant! She’s planted in morning sun only and still wilts by afternoon on the hottest days but perks back up quickly when given water. I wish I could share a picture- it is striking and even my young son’s noticed!

Zone 6, container-grown, wintered in the garage so no springtime freeze/thaw either, 6 hours of sun daily. This is my second growing season and it has been one of the most prolific bloomers of the many hydrangeas I grow. Mid-June now and there are 6+ full-size blooms larger than my outstretched hand. Last summer, it rebloomed all season long. My alkaline soil means it is 100% pink, but we're working on that. Kansas City summer means watering this container plant every day.

Extremely disappointed. I bought 2 of these last year. They lasted one season and died off in the winter. I waited patiently hoping they would come back and it is now the middle of June with no sign of life in sight. I have one other hydrangea that is regrowing and doing fine, which is an Endless Summer from Proven Winners that I bought at a nursery instead of online. I live in zone 7a and these are allegedly hardy to zone 4. I took good care of these and followed sunlight and water instructions so this is a big let-down. The product page even says "developed for better performance in harsh Midwestern winters" -- I am not even in the Midwest and our lowest temperature over the winter was 4 degrees Fahrenheit. I have recently ordered some other plants from Proven Winners (not hydrangeas) so hoping those ones actually survive.

Beautiful plant- but a few notes: saying this is a Maintenance Category Easy is not accurate- I would recommend you know something about hydrangeas before buying this particular variety. It is a smaller macrophylla, so understanding pruning, water and light levels will ensure success. I am in Indiana zone 6, I planted 3 of these in 2021 and they get shade most of the day- about 4 hours of sun. They will wilt when it gets hot and it is important to water them a lot during the hottest part of summer. They also put on blooms during the hottest part of summer so you can start to see why water is so important. I feel for those gardeners in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas that get almost no rain over the hottest summer months. I also recommend testing your soil before adding either lime or soil acidifiers to get the bloom color you want....see, defiantly NOT an easy category!

Planted these in zone 8b. In shade and well draining soil. While they stayed a bright green all summer, they barely grew. No blooms whatsoever. Hoping next year will be better?

By far my Favorite hydrangea that I’ve ever owned! Such deep blue blooms, turning purple. Deep green foliage make it look so lush. I just wish I had more!
