Professional Growing Information I love these compact easy to care for butterfly bushes. They have an abundance of flowers with butterfly’s all over them. My husband and are looking at them right now from our deck they are really beautiful. I live in zone 6b and they grow well here. I have had these for 4 years and they come through the winter fine. I will say two things to note about low and behold butterfly bushes if you have never grown them before; 1. They look dead in the spring for a long time. In my area late May or early June they they start to come to life. 2. If you water them too far into the fall their roots will be too wet going into winter and they will die. I did lose a couple plants years ago and Woman at my local nursery told me to stop watering them in the fall and let the roots dry out and that seems to work.

I have two Lo and Behold Blue Chip jr. Plants. They are doing very well, full of blooms and they attract butterflies. Both plants have been in the ground for 2 seasons and are very healthy and easy to maintain.

I have two of these planted in my front bed. They are amazing performers, very low-maintenance, and eye-catching. Many people ask me about them. They attract the most beautiful butterflies and the color is outstanding paired with bright yellows or pinks.
